Pensumo is an app that enables citizens to supplement their public retirement pension through consumption and good behavior.

It offers a cashback system to a pension plan in exchange for shopping at certain stores and completing sustainability challenges. In 2021, after partnering with Ibercaja, they participated in the Sandbox testing environment launched by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation

Project challenge

The goal of the project was to design the best possible user experience of an innovative and sustainable service while respecting the implementation times set by the Sandbox, and without neglecting the long-term vision so that the product is scalable and can evolve quickly once the results of the MVP test are achieved.

How can we design a product experience that builds sustainables foundations for the future evolution?

How we did it

By studying the market situation and with the help of key stakeholders, we create a new value proposition that puts consumption in a positive light in order to connect it with the aspirational one for tomorrow.

The user experience of the application was completely redesigned so that it could be tested with real users through the Sandbox, allowing to establish an evolutionary vision of it that allows to go from the MVP to a complete service to be launched to the market.

Creating a new brand more aligned with the values that Pensumo wants to transmit.

The agile work process made it possible to carry out this total change of the experience in a period of 7 weeks, thus meeting the objectives set by the Sandbox.
